Tarot for contacting the inner voice

Yes, I’m talking to you. The one who’s been walking this path for a while and feels like you should have cracked the code by now.

I know this is not your first rodeo; you’ve done therapy and shadow work, medicine ceremonies and somatic releasing. You’ve done it all. You’ve read the books and done the things and fought long and hard for some sanity, some clarity and some peace. And yet you still have serious doubts, anxieties and relationships that don’t work out. You still get caught up in old patterns and find yourself asking: “How am I here again?”

I see you. I am you. It’s okay.

In a world that's shifting quickly, that calling you're feeling to step into a new level of connection with your own wisdom isn’t just a fancy. It’s a priority.

It’s time to be able to turn inwards and trust what you find. Every time. No matter what.

IT’s Possible. and it’s time.

Despite - no because - the world is in chaos, some of us are being called in a more insistent way to turn away from the voice inside that makes us doubt everything - including ourselves - towards the Voice that is connected to something bigger than us. The Voice that will lead us home.

We get to make this choice, though we tell ourselves that it’s not that simple. But it’s that simple.

Most of us already know this Voice on some level. We’ve touched into our deepest wisdom in moments of stillness or during days of calm. BUT NOW it’s time to step into it FULLY so we can walk with that Inner Guide like our life and our sanity depends on it. Because it does.

thanks, but I ALREADY HAVE ENOUGH VOICES IN MY HEAD

The ego speak first and it speaks loudest. It likes to yell at you about what you should do, and then tell you that it won’t work. It’s the voice that tells you there’s never enough of anything, the voice that leads you to a place of anger, fear and sadness, over and over again.

That’s the voice you’re most familiar with.

There’s a different voice inside you, it’s just not as loud. One spiritual book calls it the STILL SMALL VOICE. But it’s only quiet because you’ve been treating it like a mysterious force that shows up every so often if you get lucky, or when you meditate enough/find exactly the right mantra/have two weeks off work.

You can have more than that. You can have constant access.

Indeed, if we practice getting quiet, sitting still and talking to it, the loving voice of our inner wisdom becomes just as prevalent as the voice of the ego. And if we keep on practicing, eventually we will get to a point where we don’t even need to get still to hear it because it will be constantly there, whether we’re in an elevator, changing a diaper or running a board meeting.

You can have that.

And it’s not just for Disney characters or the special chosen people who can afford expensive therapy and fancy retreats.

The truth is, you don’t even need me. You don’t even need this course.

All you need is enough belief that it’s possible and enough willingness to keep trying to connect with it. This Inner Guide is available to anyone who is willing to put in the time. If you choose to join us, you can do that with some tribe around you.

TAROT CAN HELP

For centuries, we have been asking the cards if we should sleep with that person or get bangs. And if that’s what we want to keep asking, tarot will gladly keep answering.

But it’s also waiting for us to ask some deeper questions. Questions that maybe we were previously too scared to ask, too angry to formulate or too busy to get around to.

The cards have been waiting for us to catch up for a while. They want to help you get in touch with the piece of you that already KNOWS. The piece of you that lies beyond the minutia you keep letting yourself be distracted by.

Ultimately, tarot wants to take you to a new level where you don't need the cards anymore - because you are constantly rooted in Knowing. AKA in The Voice (or whatever YOU choose to call it). Intuition, inner wisdom, God, Mickey Mouse. Doesn’t matter. It’s just the wise, loving part of you that wants to help you get past the ego that’s been tormenting you forever.

Tarot wants to take you to a Guide who can take you home.

Do I need to know about tarot?

Actually, no. This is not about knowing exactly what each card means or reading all the tarot books, it’s about using the cards to open up a conversation with the part of you that already knows. It’s about using tarot to spiral inwards, towards the universal wisdom that lies at the center of us all. Because this wisdom is IN you but it’s not OF you and the cards are a way to tap into that. Tarot isn’t the wisdom itself, it’s just a very efficient tool that can be used to access a part of your mind that you’re not fully acquainted with but that has been trying to get your attention for decades. They do that by offering archetypes, both visual and conceptual, that allow us to blow past our blocks and reach deep into the part of our mind that can heal us from the inside out.

want to know more about THE TAROT DOULA APPROACH?

Who do you want calling the
shots in your life?

Your insecurities?

Your social media algorithm?

Your mother?

Don't you want to feel like you can turn to yourself and trust what you find?

How often do you trust yourself to parent, to make bold career moves or to say how you feel? And how often are you instead paralyzed by fear, guilt or self-doubt?

So much of the time we don't trust ourselves and - sometimes - it's for good reason. When we are stuck in unhealthy patterns of thinking and behaving that have been passed down from generation to generation, we actually can't trust ourselves.

We need a way to cut through the mental noise and the emotional overwhelm to access the true wisdom at our core.

Even when we do finally hit upon clarity, the challenges aren't over.

We know what we need to do but find ourselves stuck in perfectionism, shame, compare-and-despair or overwhelm.

We get lost in constant busyness without direction.

We sell ourselves out or put ourselves last.

We begin projects that we don't complete or we jump from one crisis to the next, taking care of everyone's needs except our own.

We don't know how to settle, how to stop or how to just be.

We feel lost.

When so much of our inability to follow-through is an inside job, we need a radical route back to ourselves. But it's hard - almost impossible - to do it alone.. We desperately need a tribe of people around us who will:

  • Model what it looks like to trust oneself, as they do it for themselves.

  • Support us when we are in doubt, without trying to fix it for us.

  • Never ask us to quote our sources or the so-called "experts."

  • Remind us that finding answers in our own hunches, our body or the Unseen doesn't make us crazy or irrational, it makes us wise beyond measure.

We all need others to listen, to hold space and trust our process enough to resist the temptation to jump in with fixing or opinions. We need people who can ask us the right questions, share from their own experience and stand for our greatness when we can't feel it. We need spaces that give us the courage to act on what we already know, so that we can steer ourselves lovingly and gently through uncertain times.

This kind of community is life-giving and life-changing. When we have enough support to look at our blind spots and embrace the chaos, we experience a coming back to our bodies, our values, our wisdom and ourselves. We are at once greater and more humble, clearer and more able to tolerate uncertainty, more focused on action and less attached to a specific result. In short, we have re-birthed ourselves.

From this reborn place things are simple and more able to be dealt with. Problems seem more manageable and actions more likely to be taken. We are less fearful, less blocked and less alone. We have more access to the confidence we lacked, not because we now "know it all" but because we are more grounded in the moment-to-moment unfolding of the process.

That's why I call myself a Tarot Doula. Whatever transition you are currently facing, I'm not here to be your guru or to birth this baby for you. I'm here to witness, support and cheer you on as you Rebirth Your SELF.

You come trusting the cards.

You leave trusting yourself.

That's Tarot Doula magic.
