As a FORMER BIRTH DOULA I know about going deep and supporting incredible transformation in real time.
As the TAROT DOULA, there's a lot less chance I'll be seeing your lady parts but it constantly floors me how deep people are willing to go in readings. Thank goodness because supporting women as they go through huge transitions and tricky moments FLOATS MY BOAT.
A bit more about me:
Born in Manchester, England to socialist parents who named me after the wife of Karl Marx.
My superpower is telling the truth, even when it's scary or taboo. Which is ironic because I used to be a PATHOLOGICAL LIAR (read about that HERE).
I went to some posh universities in the UK and spent years studying for a PhD in New York, but school always felt wrong to me.
In 2009, when I got into 12 step recovery and woke the fuck up, I realized why - I'm deeply intuitive and I don't think there's a "right answer" to anything.
Since then it’s been a pretty crazy path but I now base my work, parenting style, relationships, housing and LIFE on slowing down, listening to my body and following my intuition. Click HERE to read a blog about that journey.
My Marxist parents obviously think I'm crazy but they love me, despite my weird ass woo-woo ways.
With regards to my own stuff, when my life is shaky (like, all the time, lol) I turn to the cards for help.

Tarot found me during a dark period in my life. I had already begun my soul journey and was developing a relationship with my intuition, but I was stuck. Wasn’t I supposed to intuitively know all the answers now? Why was I still confused? I felt like a fraud.
TAROT HELPS YOU REDEFINE WISDOM
Tarot gently gathered me up and taught me to listen a little deeper, pause a little longer and try out this thing called being human. It showed me that living in the Mystery - not knowing all the time - was what wise women did. That clarity came in flashes and the rest of life was about imperfectly trying to live my way into what I had been shown. I wasn’t sure I liked this but tarot held my hand and reminded me to breathe. In short, it became my doula.

Ironically, as I became more willing to embrace uncertainty, so the connection to my center strengthened. I was rooted more firmly, I could ride the waves of life with more equanimity and - when all else failed - I could give myself permission to reach out to a loved one and weep.

This being human is a messy and beautiful business and we all need friends, guides and doulas along the way. As your tarot doula I create a space for you to connect into what the Universe wants you to know. Whether it’s to remind you that you’re on the right track, or that you need more faith, to give you specific clues and that ah-ha moment. Sometimes the cards offer us specific advice. Often they prompt us to remember what we already knew but had forgotten. We come away shocked, humbled, inspired and deeply grateful. We can breathe a little easier, connect a little deeper and access our truths with less fear.

Laura was born in the UK but has resided in the US since 2008. In addition to being a tarot doula she is also a birth doula. Part of her work has been to guide women as they navigate miscarriage, pregnancy and issues with their cycles. She also seems to get a lot of questions about Saturn Returns. She lives in the Hudson Valley, New York.
